      Q:Are the casters necessary to complete the assembly? Looking for a stationary kitchen island in which I do not want wheels, wondering if I can just leave them off.

      A:  The casters are not needed for the stability of the cart. We suggest to put something under the legs to protect the flooring.

        A:  Nope, you do not have to add the casters. This is a very heavy unit and will serve nicely in a stationary position

          Q:Where is the wine rack? And what is the dimension of the interior space from bottom shelf to bottom of drawer?

          A:  Catskill Grand Work Center The wine rack is the bottom slotted rack. This Grand Work Center is high quality. I was blown away. The huge drawer is a bit over 8 inches deep.. The top butcher block overhang is about 2 and three quarters from the beginning of the drawer.
