A:  If it were me, I most certainly would.

A:  I plan to use one for a plug on our covered deck. No water will reach the plug but it also goes inside of a wall anyway so you should be able to use it.

A:  Not required or necessary. Box has been tested, UL listed, and fire rated.

A:  I’m not sure that would make a difference. The box is plastic not metal.

A:  If the device installed in the box is wired properly, and the ground wire is attached to all pigtails , this is NEC code, and is sufficient.

A:  Nope it requires a 1/4" to a 3/4" plate such as drywall to clamp on to it. There is a metal junction box which has a clamp that can reach around the thicker cinder block webs to secure to it. Look for Home Depot Store SKU # 910597 This will do the job!

A:  Sure if the walls are hollow

A:  It’s not outdoor rated so you run the risk of moisture getting in. When it comes to electrical it’s worth the couple extra bucks to get the outdoor rated boxes. A:  No.  Nm cable is not meant for cinder block 

A:  No minimum holding thickness is like 5/8” of an inch

A:  It should, the gripping portion pulls in when you tighten the screws.

A:  This is an old work or remodel box. I have never had occasion to use more than one or or two of these at a time and so I have never had occasion to purchase them by the carton.
