A:  Yes mine was an A model, which stands for aluminum. Very nice compressor extremely happy with it.

A:  Yes, it is California Air Tools 2010A (doesn't specify it on the product page anywhere I can find, but the Instructions/Assembly manual PDF that comes up will show it's 2010A, as does the picture). I bought this on sale in October 2017 (for about 19 dollars less than the current "sale" price), so yes, Home Depot consistently seems to have pretty good prices on Calif. Air Tools compressors. We're happy with ours, but admittedly, we use it pretty sporadically.

A:  The manufacturer's model number, 2010A you see on the HD website is correct. Home Depot is having a sale, hence the lower price. California Air Tools Website Link to this model # 2010A https://www.californiaairtools.com/ultra-quiet-series-of-air-compressor-contractor-grade/1-0-hp-air-compressors/cat-2010a/ I own this same model, have had it for a few years. So quiet when I use it in my garage I do not have to wear hearing protection.

A:  Yes it is. It's a nice little compressor. The only gripe, and it is a small one, is the on/off lever seen on the left side is hard to get at. But other than that it easy to handle and very quiet!

A:  Yes, the model number is 2010A. I bought this from Home Depot about three years ago to put in my garage and couldn't be happier with it. It works great and best of all is nice and quiet.

A:  Yes, my model is the 2010A. I bought it over 2 years ago, so I don't have records of what I paid back then. I believe it was lower than others then as well but I can't recall any more details. Hope that helps....

A:  I would give it a 9. Its super quiet and light weight and has plenty of recovery for s small gun. I'd say that would be exactly what it was made for

A:  I would say a 9. I use mine with framing nail guns, staplers, finish nailers and it has worked fine. If is fairly quiet and runs only as needed. Works better and is quieter than my DeWalt I had before. I've had it for 2 years and it is still working fine.

A:  I would be fairly confident of its longevity, though I do not use mine for upholstery work, so I can't speak to that specific trade. It's a good compressor, but I think 2 gallons might be a bit low for some jobs. The light weight of this model was a major factor for me, but I would also consider the four gallon model if the extra weight is not a factor -more air, less cycling of the compressor. hence better longevity. I have no way to compare this to other quiet compressors since this is my first one, but I was willing to take a chance on this over other brands . Read their literature and see what you think.

A:  A "10" provided the air demand of your usage does not exceed 50% of the rated capacity of this model compressor. California Air Tools compressors can run 50% of the time without over heating/taxing and failing. The standard compressors can only run a sustained 25% of the time (service factor). In addition, these compressors are sooo much quieter, it's hard to believe. Remember noise ratings, decibels, is a log scale, not linear, which means a small difference in the decibel number makes a big difference to the ear.

A:  I believe it will work well for upholstery as I use mine to staple carpet to cat trees while working in my garage. Some of the trees are quite large so I have a lot of carpet to staple. As the air tank is of 2-gallon size, I can get quite a few staples in before the compressor kicks in. Saying this I would give the compressor a score of 9. A larger tank would give you more work before the air compressor kicks in, scoring a 10. Best part is the compressor is so quiet I can still listen to the radio without being overwhelmed by the air compressor running.

A:  Yes, I used it for trim nailing. However, I would not recommend it for a situation where you are using a large nail gun in rapid file mode, such as running a framing nail gun. Check the CFM or SCFM requirements of the tool you want to use and compare it to the capacity of the air compressor.

A:  obviously, and I was enjoying mine immensely - it is so quiet and relatively lite-weight, BUT and this is a pretty dismal place in the the story... i had been using it as a replacement compressor after my 30 year old died , and everything seemed fine, until I smelled this awful stench coming from somewhere in the house we were working on. Something was burning, so I looked at all the heaters to see if something was laid too close...nothing, but the smell was not getting any better. Suddenly I took a full sweep view of the room which now had smoke in the air, and there was a fire. It was my brand new compressor! ON FIRE ! ! both sides of the electric motor had flames coming out. I picked it up and rushed it outside, but it was toast. Now here is the worst part of my story I called up California Air, explained the circumstance and asked what to do. They assured me this was not right and they needed to look at the unit and figure out if it was something I did or didn't do, such as draining the tank each night...They were going to email a return shipping label after I established my registration and proof of purchase. That was about 60 days ago. My last email with them said they were initiating the process. "Hello Richard, We will process an RMA for evaluation of the unit and e-mail you a pre paid UPS shipping label for the unit. If you have any additional requests or concerns please let us know as we greatly value your business. It is now the 1st of january and still no return label... I am more than willing to admit it might be my mistake, but for more than 60 days now I have gotten no further than this promise to take a look at the unit. Since I am an active contractor, I simply could not wait any longer and had to replace my replacement...

A:  It can easily run a trim nailer , which is what I use it for . It will run a framer , but very slowly; not enough air storage. If you are using it mostly for framing guns, get one of the larger ones, like the 4 gal or larger.

A:  This small compressor easily handles my stapler, pin/trim nail gun. If you are asking about a framing nail gun, you will need a more powerful, larger compressor capable of providing more air, long usage before the compressor runs again. https://www.homedepot.com/c/air_compressors_HT_BG_TH https://www.familyhandyman.com/tools/air-tools/how-to-choose-an-air-compressor/view-all/ https://www.nailgundepot.com/blog/under-pressure-psi-cfm-air-fittings-explained.html

A:  Yes, finishing and brad nail guns will work very well with our 1.0 hp models. No framing, roofing or flooring nail guns. These guns require a lot of CFM to operate. Always contact the air tool (nail gun) manufacturer for the CFM requirement of their air tool.

A:  Yes, it will run a Nail Gun, at least my Brad Nailer. I’m unsure if it would run a Coil Nailer or Framing Nailer. I’m assuming it would run the Bigger Nailers but wouldn’t keep up continuously as well as a Larger Capacity Air Compressor. As far as the Compressor for small Jobs, I am thoroughly impressed with this one.

A:  I've had my compressor for about two years. I keep it in the box, plug it in, run the air hose to my work area. With the box flaps almost closed, unit on a rubber pad, it is so quiet I still listen to the radio while working. When I do take it out of the box to go to a work site, the rubber feet work well to control noise and vibration. While you could pay more for a more quiet compressor is it worth the extra cost? This one is so much more quiet than my older model compressor where I had to wear earplugs. Not with this one. Operating at 60 decibels, it is far below the 85 decibels where hearing damage starts. http://dangerousdecibels.org/education/information-center/noise-induced-hearing-loss/ Weight is 34 pounds. Other information at the manufacturer's link. I am very satisfied with this air compressor. In my one car garage it is just what I need to work on projects with very minimal noise. https://www.californiaairtools.com/ultra-quiet-series-of-air-compressor-contractor-grade/1-0-hp-air-compressors/cat-2010a/
