A: Yes you can use this thermostat with the Com-Pak heater. You can either buy the one without a built-in thermostat as you suggested, or remove the built-in stat and swap it out for this one. Just follow our installation video on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRqft8yn1nA

A: Hello, thank you for your question! No this thermostat will not work on the RCP402S. If you're replacing your RCP402S thermostat, you will need to order part# 051226. This part number can be special ordered by Home Depot.
