A:  No, this product does not require an underlayment.

      by|May 5, 2023

A:  Good morning. thank you for reaching out to us with your question. This flooring does not require any type of underlayment if the floor is being installed in a nail/staple down fashion. The only time you will need an underlayment is if you plan to float the floor. Here is a link to the installation instructions for this floor. https://bit.ly/2q4zo3U I hope this information in helpful. Have a great day.

Q:Your instructions say to use a 20 gauge staple, my gun use`s 19 will that cause any problems ?

          Answer This Question

A:  Good afternoon. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. A lower gauge number indicates a thicker fastener. Being that a 19 gauge staple is slightly thicker than a 20 gauge, there is the possibility that you could experience tongue split when installing this floor. I hope this information is helpful. Have a great day.

A:  Good Morning, Thank you for contacting us with your question. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience; however, we do not recommend installing any of our flooring products on a ceiling. A:  Good morning Jason. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. I apologize for the inconvenience; however, because we have not tested this flooring installed over rigid insulation I can not recommend the installation as a suitable sub-floor. A:  Looks to me like the color has changed slightly. Good news it is not just a selected color. As you know this flooring is multiple colors. So all the colors have changed slightly. I also have had to match exsisting flooring put in about 15 years ago. Match isn’t right on but close enough I am satisfied.

A:  Good Morning. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. This is not the same floor as the ER3550. It is a different product line and we can not guarantee the shading will be the same, also the tongue and groove will not line up between the two floors. A sample of this flooring is available for order directly through the home Depot website. Here is a link. https://goo.gl/gpHqrA I hope this information is helpful

                        Answer This Question

A:  When I tried to order online from my home north of Boston, for delivery to my local store, I found the product "unavailable" in the quantity I needed. A week or two later, I was in New York City, and again tried to order online. This time, it WAS available, even for delivery at my local Massachusetts store. I was surprised, so called the help number; I ended up ordering via. the phone, but remain puzzled as to why it was marked unavailable for an online purchase from Massachusetts, but not from New York. (And it's not because the product became available in Mass; it was STILL marked 'unavailable' in Mass. when I purchased from NYC.) Bottom line: call the help number to find products listed as "unavailable."

A:  I have the Toast color, and the surface is fairly smooth. It's also listed as "high gloss" - which I didn't want - but, in fact, it has more of a satin finish.
