A:  Alecia, unfortunately this product is not able to be refinished, however, it does offer our Dura-Luster Plus finish. Our urethane with aluminum oxide, Dura-Luster Plus, will withstand years of traffic from foot (and paw!). We also offer a coordinating touch-up that can be used to minimize surfaces scratches. Your local Home Depot would be able to assist in ordering touch-up kit # S-1151. Answer This Question

A:  Hello Scottyjames! Thank you for contacting AHF Products. Unfortunately, we do not recommend sanding and refinishing this product. The top ply of this product is only 1/12" and so very easy to sand through the wood visual. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Q:Would installing this Bruce 3/8 in engineered hardwood over white silicone underlayment cause it to have a popping sound when walking on it in places?
              by|Apr 23, 2019
              1 Answer
              Answer This Question

A:  Good Morning Dee, Thank you for contacting us with your question. There are several reasons why an engineered hardwood floor may have popping noises. One of the reasons is due to using the incorrect underlayment, which may be a bit too thick and cause the flooring to move up and down. The movement is causing the tongue and grove to rub; therefore, making a popping noise. Also, since you mentioned that the underlayment you used, is a silicone, the flooring may be sticking to the underlayment and causing the noise. Subfloor deflection can also be another factor. When installing the engineered hardwood, we recommend that the subfloor flatness be within: 3/16" in 10' (5mm in 3m) and/or 1/8" in 6' (3mm in 2m). Our recommended underlayment is our Armstrong Quiet Comfort S-1837 or Armstrong Quiet Comfort Premium S-1836. For your convenience, please visit the link below to view the full installation recommendations for our engineered hardwood. We hope this information is helpful and please feel free to contact us again, if you have further questions. Have a great day. https://bit.ly/2sDGUE9
