    A:  We do not reccomend alternative installations for the Hot/Cold Mixing valve as the fittings may not be compatible if installed at the sink.

      A:  Yes, the Hot/Cold Mixing Valve will replace the Valve that came with the Handheld Sprayer originally.

        A:  Not sure what you mean about a “similar one”, is it a Brondell? If it isn’t there are a few different possibilities that aren’t worth the effort to consider. I’ve purchased and installed seven of these (Brondell) and have not had any issues - no extra parts required; the hookups are simple and straightforward

        A:  I checked it out and it appears that yes, the fittings are compatible. That said, let me add that it’s all about the sprayer. The Brondell Luxury Handheld bidet has an awesome sprayer that gives you incremental control over the force of the spray. I never tried Aqauas but it looks like it comes with similar types of sprayers that disappointed me in the past (and the price is essentially the same).

        A:  I don’t know why you wouldn’t want to blend hot water into the stream but, yes you can. The Luxury Spa Kit comes with a cold connection only (and, of course sprayer and hose). This valve is an add on option that sensitive 21st century guys like me prefer to avoid ice water enemas. Either way, no more fighting for TP in the next epidemic!

        Q:Would this work if the bathroom sink is on the opposite wall from the toilet? Would the hot water supply line have to run across the floor then? That wouldn't look very good. My husband is very handy and could run a new hot water supply line but I fear we'd end up needing to pull down the wall tiles surrounding the toilet. Maybe he can run a supply under the floor in the crawlspace and just drill a hole in the tile to keep it looking professional? I don't know I'm not a plumber but I'd like to surprise my husband for father's day. He'd love the sprayer but hates cold water.

        A:  Yes. It comes with tee fittings that allow you to splice into the hot water supply.

        A:  I remedied that scenario exactly as you described it. Have hubby run pex tubing with sharkbite connections. It’s a little work but we’ll worth the effort!

        A:  It is entirely possible, however you would need to order a longer hot hose from us directly at 888-542-3355. The standard hose that comes with this product is 6 feet long and may not reach your existing sink.
