A:  Hi Nataly, Thank you for your question on the F404204 range hood. Yes, this range hood will come with a motor and fan blade.

A:  Hi Joes, Thank you for your question on the model F402411 range hood. Range hoods must be vented using metal duct. Given a choice between flexible metal duct and smooth metal duct, go with the smooth. The ridges found in flexible metal duct create turbulence and will diminish airflow. NEVER use 4" dryer duct or any plastic duct on a range hood installation. The minimum size duct allowed on most range hoods is 3 ¼" by 10" which is equivalent to 6" round. More powerful hoods require even larger duct sizes up to 10" round. Consult the specifications for the model you have chosen. When remodeling, changing hoods or cooking equipment types do not reduce the ductwork size to less than the size specified for the range hood. Decreasing the duct size restricts the performance of the range hood ventilator.

A:  It is rated at 6.5 sones so it is moderately loud.

A:  Hi Jkh1351, Thank you for your question on model F404204. This hood is designed for under cabinet use and installs as 3-1/4 in. x 10 in. ducted opening with vertical or horizontal ducting; or 7 in. round vertical ducting or as non-ducted with air recirculation. We do not recommend reducing the ducting to 5" as that could negatively affect the performance of the unit.

A:  I wish I could help you, but my range hood is ductless, so I didn't have to deal with any kind of adapting.

A:  I never had an issue with the cover coming off of the Range Hood. I had this installed a few years ago and it is intact and working fine for me.

A:  DONT BUY THIS POS or Gorilla Tape, super glue Solder a sound proofing slab of metal over the vents

A:  I"m not exactly sure what you are asking. The vent be it at the top or back to vent outside has a couple short screws to hold it on. I also use foil tape to tape around all edges to ensure there isn't a leakage of vented air.

A:  The F403001 range hood only has 1 speed. The difference in CFM is due to how the range hood is installed/ducted. A rectangular duct will allow for 160 CFM and a round duct will allow for 190 CFM. It does not reach 230 CFM.

A:  The 46000L series uses an aluminum filter if ducted to the outside. That part number S97006931. A charcoal filter must be used along with the aluminum filter if this is a non-ducted installation. The part number for the charcoal filter is S97007696. The filters are 10-1/2" x 8-3/4".
