A:  Hi Vy - Thank you for your question. The answer to you question depends on the BTU rating of your appliance. This particular connector would have a flow capacity of 60,500 BTU per hour. Gas connectors should be sized based upon the appliance gas consumption rate. You should select a connector with a capacity equal to or greater than the appliance input rate. A:  Hello Whooooman-This is a good question. This kit would work with a 1/2 inch shut off valve or you could reduce down the 3/4 inch ball valve with a reducing fitting. We would always recommend avoiding extra fittings when possible, and getting the correct connector size. The reason for not recommending extra fittings, would be the less connection points, the less chance for leaks. If you need a 3/4 inch MIP x 3/4 inch MIP that is a 48" connector, we would suggest the CSSC11R-48. A:  Hello Marie-Brasscraft does not make a conversion kit to go from natural gas to propane. We would recommend contacting Home Depot representative for their best solution to this. We hope you are able to find the correct conversion kit for the GE oven. Please note that our gas connectors can be used for propane or natural gas. A:  The conversion to propane orifice is typically included with the appliance itself not on the installation kit. It is usually in a plastic bag on the back of the stove. Once th propane orifice is installed it should be able to use a standard gas installation kit like this one to connect to the gas rough-in.

A:  Hi hydraulicfittingguy - Yes, the flare fitting is the industry standard of 45 degrees. You will generally find the 37 degree flare fitting in commercial gas connectors. This is a residential gas connector. Please contact our Customer Support Team at 877-272-7755 with any other questions.

A:  Hi Jess – Yes, this connector can be used for either natural gas or liquid propane(LP). Please be aware the BTU rating does change based on whether you are connecting natural gas or LP. A:  Harley – The gas connectors are not designed to connect to each other. There should be a single connector from the gas shut off valve to the appliance. A:  Hi Ken - The fittings have a flared end that connects to the gas connector and pipe threading on the other end that connects to the appliance and the gas ball valve. Do not apply pipe thread sealant or tape to flare ends of fittings or valves. Sealants or tape could prevent this connection from sealing properly. You can use pipe thread sealant or tape on the pipe thread ends.
