A: If you are just drilling wood, then no. But what I have done hundreds of times is use these bits if I am attaching a wooden board to concrete. For that issue you can drill through the wood first and then into the concrete. Make sure to use a hammer setting on the SDS drill.
A: These bits are for drilling masonry (concrete products), not wood. However, you probably could use them for drilling through something like a fence post, but be advised that the drilling will take longer than using a wood-boring bit and will make a very ragged, irregular hole - not advised! definitely not for normal woodworking projects.
A: Yes they can.
A: Thank you for your question. The HCK001 Hammer Drill Bit set is designed for masonry drilling. For wood drilling you may go to https://www.boschtools.com/us/en/boschtools-ocs/drill-bits-22077-c/ for different sizes for your application. For further assistance, contact us at 1-877-BOSCH99 (1-877-267-2499) from Mon-Fri 7A-7P CST.
A: These bits are for concrete, brick or stone they will drill in wood if you push but are not made for that, the hole won't be pretty..
A: I used them in Ryobi rotary hammer drill and worked great.
A: No, only sds max bits
A: No
A: SDS Max is designed for the heaviest masonry work, and is incompatible with SDS/SDS+ bits. You can get adaptors to convert between systems like SDS Max, Plus and Spline
A: Thank you for your question. The HCK001 SDS-Plus Rotary Hammer Drill bit set is only compatible with an SDS-plus Rotary Hammers. You may use HA1030 SDS-max adapter for your tool to accept SDS-plus bits, however, the hammer mode will be disabled. For further assistance, contact us at 1-877-BOSCH99 (1-877-267-2499) from Mon-Fri 7A-7P CST.
A: SDS and SDS-plus are compatible, but that is not the case with SDS-max, intended for heavy-duty masonry work
A: Thank you for your question. The GCK005 drill bits has the SDS-Plus specialty shank, they are designed to be used in an SDS-Plus hammer only, will not work in a standard 3 jaw chuck hammer.
A: Those are called the MAX bits. SDS plus uses a smaller shank. 1/4 inch I believe.
A: You can only use SDS or SDS plus bits in the drill I have. I can't even use SDS Max with it. Unless your drill is SDS compatible these willl not work.
A: No, you need a carbide or diamond tip (is better) hole saw.
A: These are impact bits will break marble use a diamond coated bit for marble
A: You can but the rating for the drill is through concrete. I have never drilled marble but I have drilled in blue granite. 8, 5/8" holes 1.5-2" deep took a few hours and trashed one premium quality bit. Slow and steady and just go at the tool's pace. Beating the dickens out of the drill and the bit will not make the task go any faster and will only shorten the life of the bit and the drill. I was drilling downward and used water to cool the bit.
A: Yes, the hammer bits can be used on marble.
A: I would recommend a diamond core bit, hammer drill may crack the marble
A: You might be able to get that to work though expect it to not work for long. If you need a standard smooth chuch surface bit you should not use these. These are specifically designed to be used in hammer drills that are REAL hammer drills, not those low line wannabe drills that host a standard 3 jaw chuck. Those can be fine for holes up 1/4" in concrete, but in short order, will cost more in time and lobor than will be entailed in buying a REAL hammer drill with a positive locking chuck like the SDS systems use. The 3 "hammer" drils with 3 jawed chucks simply do not grip the bit tight enough resulting in slippage that tears up the bit shanks and the chucks themselves. As stated those, for holes up like 1/4" the lower line 3 jaw chucks can work fine in concrete. All bets are off on this when you are drilling hard stone like granite though.
A: Yes, I have put these in a regular drill, but it's real tricky to get it in the straight/correctly.
A: SDS bits (of whatever flavor) are intended for use in a HAMMER drill.
A: Thank you for your question. The HCK001 is an SDS-Plus shank bit sit and is designed to work in SDS-Plus rotary hammers only. It will not work well with a standard three jaw chuck. We do offer a hammer drill bit set with a straight shank that will work with a standard three jaw chuck. A: No, sds bits lock into sds drills
A: This set includes 1 each (HC2010) 3/16" diameter by 2" useable by 4" overall; 1 each (HC2040) 1/4" x 2" x 4"; 1 each (HC2051) 5/16" x 4" x 6"; 1 each (HC2081) 1/2" x 4" x 6"; and 2 each (HC2041) 1/4" x 4" x 6".
A: The other bit is another 1/4 x 6....there are 2 of them.

A: I don't understand the question? There is no description with the sizes noted.
A: It is typical used for concrete work. Drilling & chipping mainly. These drills only work with the clip in bits like in the picture. There are many other bits for chipping concrete too.
A: A hammer drill is a drill that uses a hammering action while drilling. SDS is a type of shank.
A: Thank you for your question. SDS rotary hammers have a "Special Direct System" (SDS) that allows for tool free and easy bit changes.
A: An SDS hammer drill uses a positive locking chuck, not a 3 jawed chuck. Drills with standard 3 jaw chucks tend to rip up drill shanks and jaws as the standard 3 jaws simply can not grip tight enough to keep bits from spinning in them under the conditions presented by hammer drilling. Standard 3 jaw chucks can be fine for drilling 1/4" holes in concrete. For holes over 1/4" an SDS or other positive locking chuck system is a must have for the professional.
A: They have two operating modes: (1) plain rotary drill and (2) percussive-rotary drill, which adds a jack-hammer attack, especially effective when drilling into concrete.
A: These drills only take one type of bit, they are called SDS. They snap into the drill, you can NOT use regular drill bits in these SDS drills.
