    A:  If you have AAA rechargeable, then yes. But there is no point of buying rechargeable batteries as the one it comes with the unit lasts for long time.

          Q:Somehow my laser got stuck in an "inches" mode and I cant get the "feet" back on it. Can anyone tell me how to change that?

          A:  Remove the batteries, wait a minute, reinsert the batteries. If that doesn't work, call the manufacturer 1-877-267-2499. Hope this helps!

                A:  With the device turned off, press and hold the measure button. The display will cycle through the three units of measure, feet (Unit ' "), inches (Unit "), or metric (Unit m).                       A:  The measurement includes the length of the tool. So if you butt it against a wall the measurement is wall to wall.

                                      Q:Is there a minimum range that it can measure? It's rated out to 65 feet, but I also need to measure smaller spaces, too. Is there a distance shorter than which it loses accuracy?

                                        A:  Below 6 inches (approximately) the distance display shows "----", that is, it stops showing the distance. Note that the distance includes the length of the unit, which is about 4". So it stops measuring when the laser beam end is about 2" from a surface.

                                        A:  The unit will measure as little as 5-6 inches. It's only rated to 6" but I've seen it read 5" before it cuts out. It's really accurate at short distances and acceptably accurate over 30+ feet.

                                        A:  The GLM20X was designed for interior use. It can be used outdoors but is usually harder to see in bright light conditions. If you plan to use the laser outdoors as well we recommend the GLM80 or GLM825 which are designed for both interior and exterior use.
