A: Yes, I've used it with my BAT609 slim line 18v batteries that I have for my 18v compact drill. No problem with short term use. I can't speak to how long the charger will last. I've only had the impact for a couple of weeks and used it a couple of times. Longest was removing about 10 rusty bolts on a utility trailer. I didn't detect any loss of power in that use. However, if my normal use for long periods, I'd go with a larger capacity battery.
