Q:Would this netting be strong enough to be used as an Athletic ball barrier over a span over 40feet?

This bird netting is very light weight. The gross weight of this net in the box is only 6 pounds.
While it possesses the ability to confound birds and other creatures to prevent invasion, it lacks the tensile strength to withstand the force of a projectile, such as a ball.

A: I think so, you would need to take care in mounting so the pressure would be "spread out" to avoid tearing.

A: We used a staple gun to fasten to wood frame members in the middle of the space and a 1" x 4" wood strip along the edges. We also used zip ties to secure joints after overlapping fabric.
