A:  Hello, what will you be using the netting for? The mesh size that is available is only 3/4 in. There is a 1 year warranty with this netting. A:  Yes this netting will keep sparrows out.

A:  Yes, sparrows were my biggest problem and they are GONE !!!!

A:  Yes, it will keep the sparrows out but will not ensnare them.

A:  To tie mine up with a 6 foot high chain-link fencing, I used zip ties. Worked great.

A:  You could probably tie it with string, but you would have to wrap it many times for strength. It might be better to attach it to a frame and the attach the frame to your porch. I used 3/4" PVC pipe to make a bird-proof cage for my blueberries and used PVC row cover clips to attach the netting, one clip about every 3-4'. I put a piece of 6mil plastic sheeting between the clip and the netting so the clip wouldn't tear the netting. Row cover clips can be pricy but I found the material in 4' lengths online at Greenhouse Megastore for a very reasonable price and it is easy to cut with PVC shears.

A:  Plastic "zip-ties" worked for me.

A:  I have some up going into its third summer. It is in full sun in the summer and has been frozen to 15 degrees and we had 60mph winds last week. So far it is holding up well. I am in the Pacific Northwest, and we don't get as much sun as, say, Arizona. I did get a heavy, wet snow in March that stuck to the netting and collapsed my blueberry cage, shattering the PVC frame. The netting was unscathed. The blueberry bushes weren't.

A:  The netting dimensions are 100 feet by 14 feet. It is designed for outdoor use and can withstand weather.

A:  I have had mine out over a large chicken pen for 2 years with no denigration so far.

A:  Only if it's moving slower than 2 MPH.

A:  This bird netting is lightweight and is not strong enough to stop the projectile of a large object like a soccer ball.

A:  Hello, this netting is designed for bird exclusion. It has not been tested on moths or bees and is not insect netting. We have netting with square/diamond hole openings of 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch, for reference.

A:  Big moths.

A:  Hello Stonkey, yes, the netting should do the trick, as the holes are only 3/4ths of an inch.

A:  Yes, it should work for that.

A:  This product material is a lightweight netting and is not strong enough to stop a projectile like a ball.

A:  You can cut it to any size. It would probably stop a squirrel unless he chewed a hole in the netting. It keeps my chickens out of my veg.

A:  It can be cut to any size, but not squirrel proof.

A:  Wouldn't stop a squirrel, if you find something that does please let me know.

A:  No edging and I would say it would not hold up to cats. I'd consider chain link for your purposes.

A:  The edges are finished, but not reinforced. It doesn't matter, though, because the netting will not unravel if cut.
