Q:Can you invert this long enough to heat up a coupling when sweating a pipe that runs along the ground? I have some pipes along the floor of my attic that I cannot sweat due to my current torch flaming out when inverted. The product says it is regulated to prevent flame out when "momentarily inverted."

A: I am not familiar with the Mapp canister. If the threads are the same as the small propane canisters, then yes it will work. The higher burn temps of Mapp gas shouldn't be a problem for the all metal torch head.
