Q:Does this work on the whole house

Answer This Question
A: This works with 1 electrical socket , so unless you have every lamp in your house plugged into that one outlet the answer is a resounding NO.
For your purpose ( showing a home ) you would need to purchase one of these for every lamp outlet , and/or replace every bulb fixture in the home with a smart bulb. Have WiFi in the home and a hub set up. Then give every agent showing the home the login to the system.

Answer This Question
A: Yes, each socket can only control one appliance. However if you want to control multiple appliances you can connect the socket to a power strip but that will control all those appliances together, you won't be able to control each one individually.
