A: Thank you for reaching out to us. You can use the Baldwin Filmore knob for a privacy function lock when ordered for that function. The 5080.260.PRIV is our pre-configured set, which may work for you if you need a 2-3/8" backset latch.

Q:The BACKPLATE has a raised circle and prevents the round ROSE to fit flush against the door. I don't want to bore an indention in the door, so shouldn't you have a BACKPLATE that is not causing this raised problem?

A: Yes one knob. Once it is installed, doesn't turn, doesn't move. Just for pulling a door open or closed.

A: Yes. We used them for closet doors that only open out (not walk ins). They are really pretty.

A: Yes, it’s just one one side of the door. I got a plain brushed silver knob for the other side of the door because that’s a more casual room. But I don’t know if you necessarily have to put a 2nd knob on the other side of the door or not. I don’t think so because the knob doesn’t turn. You just pull on it.

A: Yes, and the result is BEAUTIFUL! It will take someone to go by the instructions and cut a hole in the front of the door to fit the knob on the end of the rubbed oil bronze circle that the crystal sets in. This makes for a very stable installation.

A: Yes. The unit I installed was effectively "flush mounted" meaning that in concept it can be mounted on any thickness of door.

A: Yes, this model can be used for that application.

A: Yes if it is placed in the same area where a regular door knob goes. That area of the door is not hollow

Q:I have a double door entrance to our dining room where I would like to use this knob. I need to mount this as a dummy knob on both sides of each door (no latch needed - the doors have a catch at the top that holds them closed when shut). Someone else asked this question, but the answer wasn't unclear to me... Can these be mounted on both sides of a door as dummy knobs? Is any additional adapter hardware needed? Does this item include 1 knob (so I will need 2 for each door)? And, does this item include the 5048.102 Rose plate? Thank you for your help.

A: No, this is for only 1 crystal knob, you need kit Model # 5080.260.PASS, it will give you 2 knobs and you don't have to use the side latch
