Q:Hi. I just purchased Bemis 7M1201SLOWA 006 at Home Depot. Another # on the box is 1B5106155. It states it's an easy clean seat, but the end caps do not twist nor does it have an easy lift function. Was this mis-marked at Home Depot? Their sticker also has # 1B5850344 on it. Thanks.

A: Good Afternoon,
It was not mislabeled, this is actually our newest flip cap easy clean toilet seat! When you flip open the hinge it is in the unlock position and when you close the hinge it is in the locked position, please watch the installation video: https://youtu.be/RcJXL2p6dsY I hope this helps!

Q:I installed this, but after tightening the bolts (and after the end broke off, I realized that the seat wasn't centered. How can I adjust it without ruining the tightness.

A: You may have to buy new plastic bolts at Home Depot. They aren't expensive. Or if you can loosen the nuts and recenter the seat and re tighten the nuts after then that would work.

A: Good Morning, Steve,
The STATITE nut is reusable, but you will have to use your own discretion as to when it is tight enough. Any further or questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to ask.

A: I just tried using a screwdriver blade to force the ring one way or the other to center the ring between the cover and the hinges as suggested by BemisExpert and it worked fine. Will have to see if this is a permanent fix or if it has to be done periodically.
I've had the seat for over 2 years and it just started squeaking a few days ago.

A: Good Morning,
Try using a screwdriver blade to force the ring one way or the other to center the ring between the cover and the hinges, providing equal gaps between the ring and cover leafs and the hinges. If this does not resolve, we do have a one year warranty held at the Home Depot and they can replace the seat for you.

A: Well this acutually happens if you purchase seat with metal hardware so I believe once a month you want to lubricate the hinges and that will take care of your issue
