Answer This Question
A: Hi Mar,
Marmalade Glaze #UL120-8 is an optimistic orange that brings the best of bold Autumn color indoors. I am a little uncertain about what you mean by "open wall areas" but I am assuming you want wall color suggestions for adjacent rooms that can be seen from the room painted in Marmalade Glaze.
Natural Palette
To create a harmonious palette, you can seldom go wrong by turning to nature for inspiration. This means warm rich browns such as Cinnabark UL130-22, vegan greens like Olive UL190-22 or Fig Leaf UL200-23 or even a surprising aubergine such as Folklore UL100-1 create a bold counter balance to Marmalade Glaze UL120-8. A light color will help break up the bolds and I like a warm creamy color such as Dried Plantain UL150-6.
Neutral Choices
If you prefer to make Marmalade Glaze UL120-8 a focal point, surround it with neutrals. Mocha Latte UL160-21 stays in the background but isn't boring. On the green side- try a neutral such as Dried Basil UL200-5 to introduce a hint of color without competing with Marmalade Glaze UL120-8. I also like Teatime UL140-20 which picks up some of the same warm undertones as Marmalade Glaze.
