The first coat of paint will act as a primer and additional coats will provide full coverage. However, if you want to cut down on the number of paint coats needed, you can certainly prime with our Multi-Surface Primer first to help the paint cover in fewer coats. Have a great day! -Christina

If your bathroom will be exposed to a lot of steam, I recommend using a higher sheen instead, such as our Ultra Interior Satin Paint or Ultra Interior Semi-Gloss Paint. A:  Hi Donna, thank you for your question. We do not recommend using the ceiling paint on cabinets. The Ceiling Paint is not designed to be cleaned and touched constantly. You will not be able to clean easily and it may not hold up as long. You can use the regular Ultra Paint in a satin or semi-gloss for the best durability and scrubbability. Have a great day! -Giovanna
