Q:Can this be used for countertops

Answer This Question

A:  Hi Milton, thank you for your question. We do not recommend using our products on countertops. Our coatings are not FDA-approved for direct contact with food. Additionally, water exposure, food stains, cleaning, hot pans, etc., will lead to reduced durability of the paint and an unsatisfactory surface. Good luck with your project. - Alex

Q:I misread and re coated after 2 hrs not 4 what will happen? What should I do?

    Answer This Question

A:  Hi Akascooter99, thank you for your question. Extended dry time may be needed to allow the deeper layers of paint to dry thoroughly after applying a second coat of Urethane Alkyd Paint before the recommended recoat time. If any paint had lifted when applying the second coat, the surface should be allowed to dry before sanding the affected area smooth, cleaning and touching up. Please reach out to us directly if you need further assistance. Our customer care team is happy to help you! - Randy

      Answer This Question

A:  Hi there, thank you for your question. You can use either a soft or firm-bristle brush. A soft bristle brush will help achieve a smoother finish, while a firm bristle brush will help with fine details on the surface. Have a great day! -Lina

Q:What grit sandpaper should be used to scuff new white cabinets ? Does new drywall need sanding before using this product ? OR is primer enough? Thanks !
        by|Apr 1, 2024

        Answer This Question

A:  Hi CHEENA, thank you for your question. When scuff sanding, we recommend using 220-grit sandpaper. Drywall should be sanded smooth, dust removed, and drywall compound thoroughly dry before painting. We recommend priming drywall using the Kitchen, Bath and Trim Primer and two coats of Urethane Alkyd. Have a great day! - Randy

A:  Hi GaryG, thank you for your question. As it turns out, our coatings, including the Urethane Alkyd Paint, are not designed to be applied to pool copings or areas that can be submerged underwater. It's best to use a marine-grade coating designed for pools. Have a great day! - Randy
