Q:Which does better over this oil/latex stain, water or oil-based spar urethane? And how long after staining before applying, is it still 8 hr for oil and 24 hr for water-based like traditional stains?

A: Hi MaLa, thanks for your questions. Our Solid Color House & Fence Stain can be topcoated with an oil-based or water-based urethane. And before applying your topcoat, you'll want to allow the last coat of stain dry for at least 6 hours. Have a great day! -Christina
