Answer This Question

A:  Hi john, thank you for your question. We don't recommend applying the House and Fence Wood Stain with a pump sprayer. You can use an airless sprayer with a .015-.19" tip instead. Good luck with your project! -Giovanna

        Answer This Question

A:  Hi JGlenBurnie, thank you for your question. Our Solid Color House & Fence Stain can be used on your exterior wood door. Primer is not needed for most woods. However, we recommend using our Multi-Surface Primer (No. 436) for redwood, cedary, cypress, and other bleeding woods. Please note that we advise cleaning the surface with our All-In-One Wood Cleaner before priming and staining to ensure the proper adhesion. Have a great day! -Lina

          Answer This Question

A:  Hi Karen, thanks for the question. Our Solid-Color House and Fence Stain can be applied over the existing stain. If the existing stain is glossy, I'd recommend scuff-sanding it first to help with the adhesion of the stain and then cleaning the surface with our All-In-One Wood Cleaner. After the surface has completely dried, you can apply the stain. Have a great day! -Ronald
