A:  It chips easily. We did cut it with a chop saw and circular saw but had problems with it being brittle and breakage.

A:  I was able to cut the tile with a knife, by hand, after letting it warm up in the sun. It's not as brittle when warm.

A:  Good morning Richard. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. I apologize for the inconvenience; however, we do not recommend installing VCT unless you are going to polish it. VCT is 85% limestone, so it can stain very easily. There is very little factory coating on this flooring, and the coating is not a permanent coating as with other vinyl products. VCT installed and then not polished will stain very easily, it will be hard to keep clean, and it will wear much faster than if polished. I hope this information is helpful. Have a great day.

A:  It can be slippery especially after waxing, nay as slippery as a ceramic floor and definitely a no to shower applications.

Paint can easily break down under the flooring and cause the flooring to come loose, and it can also leech color up through the tile and cause staining. I apologize for the inconvenience; however, we do not recommend installing our flooring in an area that is not climate controlled. The area needs to be kept between 55 and 100 degrees.
