Q:Are the dimensions taken from the top rim of the tub? If so, what are the bottom dimensions, or visa versa?

Answer This Question
A: Hello,
Yes the 5 ft is taken from the overall length of tub at the top. The bathing well measures 51 1/2" on the top at centerline and 40 1/2" at the bottom at ceterline. The depth is 34" at top of center line and 24 1/2" at bottom of centerline.
Thanks for your question.

Q:What drain goes with this tub?
by|Jun 4, 2017

Answer This Question
A: A standard size drain will not fit because the drain hardware is recessed in a well for drainage. A standard size drain has a 2-3/4 flange such as the one Home Depot stocks in the store. This tub requires a drain hardware with about 2-1/4 to 2-3/8 in diameter flange. The diameter of the pipe passing through the tub is the standard 2 inches diameter. I have not yet located drain hardware, it might be a tub manufacturer item.

Q:Can this be used as a tub shower combination?

Answer This Question
A: Yes it can, but the bathing fixture will need to be installed in a tile or a waterproof alcove and then a tile or waterproof wall will need to be installed. Many people install in this manner and it makes a great unit.
You can see specific information on the bathing fixture on our web site, or specifically http://aquaticbath.com/products/ariel-i/
Hope this helps
