A:  Yes, this water hose has standard water hose threads, it will fit the faucet on one end and any standard attachment on the other end. This is the case with either 5/8 or 3/4" hose size.

Q:Does this rubber hose withstand UV light well without breaking down or cracking? ie. better then a vinyl hose such as the Gilmour Flexogen? Not planning to leave it under pressure but it will be laying out in an intense sun area.

A:  I've had mine a few years now, and it's hung on a brick wall facing an unobstructed western view in a New York high-rise. Although it's very stiff to begin with and it has lightened in color a bit, there is absolutely no evidence of damage or cracking. A few years ago, I left it attached to the faucet and forgot to drain it for the winter. The water was shut off from the inside and the faucet is freeze-proof. The brass Y connected between the faucet and the hose fractured from the ice that formed inside, but the hose survived intact, even though I found it filled with ice.

A:  Hello; l cannot really say for sure , but like most hoses left exposed to sun ,cold and environmental stresses they will lighten in color become slowly weaker, and eventually kink somewhere ,and slowly become stiffer eventually to rot , or become weaker. That said, if this hose is somewhat cared for & protected it should work well for you a number of years . l have realized there is no perfect hose that never kinks ever, and does not age , or never leaks at the couplings , it just does'nt exist yet anyway, so yes purchase this hose it is pretty good stays flexible (better in warm weather) less likely to kink if stretched out long first after opening package. Anytime hose left rolled up on ground , someday will kink sad to say. So yes buy it ,and good luck to you...

A:  Not sure about the UV stuff. I love rubber hoses, have always had kinking problems with other materials, especially hoses advertised as non-kinking. I've got another longer rubber hose that's going on ten years old. The red color on this one might withstand heat better than a black hose.

A:  So far it’s been great. Easy to wind and no cracking.

            by|May 19, 2021

A:  Yes, it has been outside since early spring and it's now almost Sept. It has performed just as it should with not breaking down or kinking whatsoever.

A:  Yes , Fairly good ones as l recall. All hoses leak a little bit at times depending on stress & weather , but these are good couplings ,and not much leaking . Yes brass fittings .

A:  As is noted on the packaging, which is visible on the webpage, it has Leak-Proof SealFast brass couplings.

A:  No. They appear to be brass, but after use, the plating wears off revealing a silver colored metal.

A:  Yes you can , l did just that . Just make sure you buy some good rubber washers to combat leaks ,and some people after connecting two hoses together place either electrical tape, or duct tape to contain any leaking , so good luck to you...

A:  I use them exclusively for fresh water automatic pool leveling devices and haven't had any problems with the hoses since I started using them about three years ago. I have about six in use, and they've held up fine. I'm in South Florida, so you know it gets hot.

A:  Yes. As long as the pressure is reasonable. I use it in the sun with the pressure on and have no problem. My water pressure is 45PSI. I also use it with a shut off nozzle and 120 degree water temperature, also no problem. If you had high water pressure to begin with, say over 100psi and shut off the water at the hose bibb and left it in the hot sun I suppose you could build up enough pressure to burst the hose so I would release the pressure if you shut off the hose bibb just as a precaution..
