A:  I’ve had this rug for almost a year, now. Yes- you do vacuum this rug with a regular vacuum cleaner. If I would vacuum it weekly it would eliminate the shedding as it does shed. I don’t, however. It’s easier for me to do a quick sweep through with a dust mop on the wood floors to get the shedding up. This is, however, a minor inconvenience. I love the rug- the way it feels on bare feet, and the way it looks. As far as cleaning spots. I had to use a spray cleaner on it the first day I got it because my little dog decided to christen it. It cleaned up easily and well and have had no trouble from that spot using a pet anti bacterial cleanup spray. It’s a lovely rug. I’ve had many compliments on it.

A:  It does shed a bit--just like any wool rug. The pile is 60% wool and 40% jute so vacuuming every couple of weeks will help control any shedding. A beater brush is not recommended so use suction only setting on your vacuum or disable/raise the beater brush if possible. And you can spot clean any stains with a quality, off-the-shelf cleaner found at your neighborhood Home Depot. You can also spot clean with a solution of mild dish soap and water.

A:  It has more of a beige/creme color.
