      A:  Thank you for your question. We apologize, however, we do not recommend to modify the position of the handle set. Also, for proper handle set clearance between the storm door and entry door, the depth of the exterior jamb should be a minimum of 2-1/2" (inches). The Andersen 2000 Series gives you the option of installing a glass panel in the winter and a screen in the summer.
