        Q:Is there sand in this?
        by|Jul 10, 2016

        Answer This Question

A:  We used Gator Grip by Anvil sold by Home Depot not the DecK-A-New but I did a lot of research on these types of products before deciding on one and they all pretty much have this "sand" type texture to them. It is a colored textured coating that fills in smaller cracks, splintered wood, etc on older decks thus "Restoring" or "Renewing" them. So the answer to your question is your painter is NOT doing anything wrong as this product is not a regular type smooth paint or stain. Hope this helps.

Q:We bought sidewalk/patio paint that's reddish brown but not as deep red as the Redwood. We need the decks to be as close to the sidewalk color if possible. Is the railing pictured on the website with the BUTTERNUT deck floor Redwood or Cedar? That's likely what we need. Thank you. Long longtime HOME DEPOT FAN and Client.
