A: Hello, Amdro Fire Ant Bait is not approved for use in areas where animals graze. It is okay to use it around the perimeter of where the chickens are kept if they are in a fenced off area. If they are free range then you shouldn't use the Amdro Fire Ant Bait. There are products on the market that can be used on grazelands. A lawn and garden specialist at your local Home Depot may be able to help you find a fire ant product that will meet your needs. Thank you
A: NO
A: The directions say that this product can be used "on grounds surrounding poultry houses (excluding runs and ranges).." It also says to "Avoid direct exposure of animals to AMDRO granules." My guess is that if you intend to eat the chickens or their eggs, or sell them for food do not use this product if the chickens can possibly eat the granules.
A: HI skilet, Amdro should not be ingested by chickens. Do not use Amdro where animals graze. Keep pets and animals away from the treated area for 24 hours. The oil that is used as the bait will attract ants as well as other animals such as mice and pets. Avoid using this produce where the chickens feed. Travis
A: No It looks like grit.
A: I only put a small amount around the nest. Generally, within an hour the ants have moved all the bait deep into the nest. They go nuts for this stuff.
A: It is labeled safe for household pets but why take the chance!!
A: Hello, Amdro Fire Ant Bait isn't very toxic to dogs when it is applied according to the label. We do recommend you keep your dogs indoors while you apply the product. After that you can let them back into the application area. Thank you
A: I spread when dog was in house. Then watch him when I let him out,he didn't seem to notice, Before the ants got him good.
A: Yes, the product says it is o.k. around pets.
A: Dogs are great if you have the time and place for them! OH, regarding Amdro? read the package- but my recommendation would be to sprinkle when the dogs aren't around for a little while. It doesn't attract animals and loses it effectiveness in about 24 hours. How small is your space- that is probably the key, my dogs have acres to explore and the amdro does not enter their radar.
A: I can't imagine any ant surviving.
A: This product did not work on my ant problem.
A: Hello, Amdro Fire Ant bait won't control Crazy Ants. We would recommend the Amdro Ant Block to control Crazy Ants. Thank you.
A: The label says it controls "imported and native fire ants, and other ants , such as harvester ants, bigheaded ants and Argentine ants."
A: No, only Fire Ants. Crazy ants can only be killed with termite pesticides
