A:  Lisa, Simply measure the width, depth and length of your unit as it protrudes outside your window or home. Then match those dimensions to the different size covers available. Purchase the size that is equal to or slightly greater than your dimensions (not smaller than). Once you slip the cover over the outside of your unit, you can easily secure the cover with the two nylon straps which wrap completely around the cover and unit. These two nylon straps should be tightened so the winter winds can not dislodge the cover. This sounds complicated but it is really very simple.

A:  Cover is 14" deep, but if you're good a back folding the heavy material you can still use on a less deep AC. Something I had to do myself. Just make sure to fold under so liner is not exposed to the eliminates.
