A:  Smallest is a 10" wrench and they aren't designed for something that small but you could use it on 1/4". Wouldn't advise it as depending on the pipe type you may crush it

Q:How do these Aluminum pipe wrenches hold up compared to the Heavy Duty version and are they worth the extra money?

                        Answer This Question

A:  the aluminum housing if very weak. I have used pipe wrenches for many years and this aluminum one is the only one I have seen break. The others just wear out after years and years and years of use.

A:  If you use them all the time and have to lug them around everywhere in a heavy tool bag, is get the aluminum one. Also, it's Ridgid which has a lifetime warranty. Husky, if they have the aluminum version would also be lifetime and easier to claim. Just walk into the store and ask for another one

A:  It says it does but mine busted out the side and when I contacted Ridgid, they refused to replace it. The could have just sent a new handle but, NO! Warranty appears to be worthless!
