A: The warranty only covers defects in workmanship and materials. It doesn't cover normal wear and tear and misuse, abuse and neglect.

A: Smallest is a 10" wrench and they aren't designed for something that small but you could use it on 1/4". Wouldn't advise it as depending on the pipe type you may crush it

A: the aluminum housing if very weak. I have used pipe wrenches for many years and this aluminum one is the only one I have seen break. The others just wear out after years and years and years of use.

A: If you use them all the time and have to lug them around everywhere in a heavy tool bag, is get the aluminum one. Also, it's Ridgid which has a lifetime warranty. Husky, if they have the aluminum version would also be lifetime and easier to claim. Just walk into the store and ask for another one

A: It says it does but mine busted out the side and when I contacted Ridgid, they refused to replace it. The could have just sent a new handle but, NO! Warranty appears to be worthless!

A: MY 24" Rigid Pipe Wrench weighs just a hair over 6 lbs, ( I believe the weight as published by Rigid is 5.8 lbs) by way of comparison my 18" Rigid Pipe Wrench made of ductile Iron weighs in at about 6 1/2 lbs.
