    A:  Bob, While this is designed to be easily graspable, this does not qualify as a graspable handrail for stairs. For an ADA code-compliant, graspable rail on stairs, please consider a secondary handrail from Deckorail, as an addition to your railing. As you will see from the includes images, the secondary railing is rather attractive, in addition to being practical.

                  Q:Could I get this product in an 8 ft length? I am repairing a broken rail on by deck and it is 7 ft in length. I bought the original deck rail from Home Dept about 10 years ago so I think it is possible. Please provide a recomendation.

                            A:  Not to my knowledge. I actually went to the in-store lumber custom order desk, and with the assistance of the saleman, found the item in a special order book, ordered a small supply and had them shipped directly to my house. Worked just fine for me.
