A: Yes it works on minor stains. If the stain is really bad or the tile has physical damage then its is better to replace the tile. There is one for older tiles ( off White ) and one for newer ( White ) ceiling tiles, so be sure you pick the one you need. I have used the white several times over the past 7 years for minor marks and stains.

A: It can but cover the floor well as it goes every where. It does not cover as well as other products so you will likely have to put several coats on small stain.

If I could give this 100 stars I would!

I'm absolutely blown away. I have a traditional popcorn ceiling, house built in the 70's, with two brown stains in the back bedroom and one huge white spot (whiter than the ceiling) from a former roof repair, plus various places where the former owner had hit the ceiling by accident with a paint roller. Dibs and dabs everywhere! Faced with the daunting task of painting my entire ceiling throughout the house, I started with coating the two brown stains with this product. I could hardly believe my eyes!!! It blended so perfectly with the popcorn ceiling, so much so that I applied the color fix to the rest of the spots throughout my house. Unbelievable. I no longer need to paint my ceiling. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Can still see through some spots even after 3 coats....

Can still see through some spots even after 3 coats. There should be an additional spray attachment that will allow painting in a down position. There is too much overspray painting vertically up. Difficult to paint down with the current setup.

It did what it said it would do, sort of....

It did what it said it would do, sort of. I used it to cover smoke stains on a popcorn ceiling, and even with 12 cans there was still places where the tobacco smoke stains left by the old owner showed through. It is also a messy product, I covered all the flat surfaces in my living room, but was dealing with primer dust for weeks despite my caution. I was trying to take the least amount of time to get the project done, and I used covers up to do it. I would have been better off saving my money and doing with a good old fashion roller and some killz.

Let's see what we can figure out. Zinsser Covers Up Ceiling Paint & Primer In One sprays vertically for ease of use, seals water stains, and has a flat white finish that matches new acoustic ceiling tiles. For best results, spray 10-12” from the surface with short ‘dusting’ strokes, slightly overlapping each
stroke. Keep the can the same distance from the surface. Keep the can in motion while spraying.
