The ZEP 128 oz. Industrial Purple Degreaser is a heavy duty concentrated cleaner/degreaser. So far my experience with this Zep degreaser has been great beacuse it works fast and removed grease adn oils stains from few if my projects and tools. This Zep degreaser is concentrated so make sure that you use the correct mix for your purpose. This gallo makes up to 25 gallons mix. The scent is mild and its easy to work with. If you want to remove oil stains or grease I highly recommend this product.

Best degreaser ever. I’ve had two door shocks break in the last month and have been putting off the project. Ive used some other degreasers in the past and they are not even close. The zep is the best hands down. At first I just decided to pour a bunch on the huge oil spot from the shock that went out. With no scrubbing you can see the oil floating on the concrete. Somehow the oil was pulled to the top off the surface and with a quick rinse most of it came out. I then gave it worst area a little scrubbing. This 4th July weekend I’m going to spray and then pressure wash my driveway to get out a few old oil stains. This degreaser doesn’t smell bad and is super concentrated so its going to go a long way. I’ve had the zep degreaser now for a few weeks and now I need to get rid of my orange cleaner. The zep is so much better.

I already had a jug of Zep to clean up car grease, stains, and mess around the shop, garage and driveway. I saw this one was 25% stronger so I grabbed a jug and put it to the test. This stuff isn't cheap but a large bottle goes a long way since it's highly concentrated and can make up to 25 gallons of degreasing solution. It's supposed to destroy tough shop grease and oil from engine parts, shop floors, industrial machinery, and unfinished concrete and metal. I took up the challenge with grease on the shops driveway. It was a old thick grease stain, and it did make a huge difference; but it didn't remove it completely and I did follow the directions. Still; all in all; I would purchase this again.

I decided to try the Zep purple degreaser on my lawn edger as it has a minor leak and the engine and mounting base is always oily. I basically used the heavy duty mix using 2 ounces of degreaser to 12 ounces of water. I brushed it on figuring using a brush will help loosen the oily areas. It worked okay on the loose oily dirt which could have probably been wiped off with a rag, but on the area with more grime the degreaser made it cleaner, but not clean after 2 brushed on applications. I'm not really surprised as I have used 3 other Zep products and was not happy with the results.

This product works great on concrete floors and driveway. I have an oil spot on my drive that nothing would fade. I have used this once and it already has started to go away. Much improved after 1 use. I will continue to try it here a few more times. Definitely need to work it in and leave it set to really be effective. But I highly recommend this product, this is the good stuff!

For the last 30 years, my garage has stored cars, been the site of car fluid checks, lawnmower repairs, and hosted woodworking staining projects.  The concrete floor is marked with oil spots, 80/90 lube stains, and oil-based wood stains.  I decided to try the ZEP Concentrated Industrial Purple Degreaser (ZEP) to see if it could remove these stains.  The instructions stipulate two different cleaning strengths and I chose the stronger version using 20 ounces of ZEP to a gallon of water.  I wore eye protection as the ZEP is a strong cleaner and the instructions suggest to do so.  I prefer to use warm water since the heat can speed up the cleaning action of the ZEP detergent. I circled the stains with white chalk and then applied the warm mixture using a long handle steel brush. Each area lathered easily using the brush in a circular motion for better coverage on the concrete surface.  The instructions stated to let it sit for 3-5 minutes but not let it dry. Since my garage has accumulated lots of stuff, rinsing the floor with a garden hose is no longer feasible.  I used a bucket of clean water and a microfiber cloth to rinse each area.  The first rinse brought up lots of dirt as evidenced on the cloth in the photo below; and the rinse water got very dark.  I did a second rinse with another bucket of clean water to make sure there was no residual dirt or detergent remaining.  I then let the treated areas dry for 2-3 hours and afterward observed much lighter areas where the cleaning occurred.  Some stains were completely removed such as the oil-based wood stains, the 80/90 lube stains, and most of the oil stains.  The remaining oil stains were much lighter.  I also applied the ZEP to where one of the car tires normally resides as that area was very dark.  After treatment, that car tire area was about 50% lighter.  I then expanded the area to a 2 x 2 square foot area where many car engines have dripped dime-size stains.  Many of these stains were removed or became much lighter after treatment. I truly recommend ZEP Concentrated Industrial Purple Degreaser for the cleaning of garage floors. It is very easy to use and provides great results.

I am very pleased with this product , I used this product for general cleaning ,and it got the job done. This Zep can also be used on cleaning machinery, engine parts, shop floors. it also works on unfinished concrete and metal , This zep is very strong, I recommend that you dilute it .
