4-Person Dome Tent

When you feel like getting some exercise and fresh air, you can go camping with this Wakeman Outdoors 4-person tent. With so many tents on the market this three season tent is great for car camping, canoeing and short hikes. The convenient zippered bag holds the standard set up- tent, spikes, rainfly and poles. You would have to provide a footprint or ground sheet. At 7 pounds, it's not heavy, but there are lighter tents for the more avid camper. This model is perfect for the average or novice camper. It fits four and has plenty of head room at 60 inches high in the center. Four sleeping bags are a little snug especially if you also have bags and gear. The base of this dome style tent is 7X9 feet and the bottom is made of thick coated nylon with a good 5 inches around the sides. No seam in the floor means no water seeps in. The windows have no-see-um meshing to keep the bugs out. I prefer this D-style doorway which I find easier to enter than the half-circle doors on many tents. I really like the plastic clips that hold the poles in place. I found tents with the fabric loops to slide through were a pain to assemble. You can raise this tent by yourself but it is much easier with two people. Even the zippers are well made and the stitching seems to be durable and tight for years to come. This tent's moderate price is a very good deal for the average family who want to go camping to de-stress or enjoy nature. We'll most likely use it more in the summer months but it'll surely last for years to come.

I'm an experienced camper and I had difficulty erecting this tent by myself. It is a two person job for sure. The tent measures 9'x7' and 5' high. 4 adults would have trouble sleeping in this tent. I would say 2 adults and two kids would be a better fit. The tent is lightweight polyester PU coated, and well stitched. The tote bag in which it came needs to be bigger. I had difficulties trying to get the tent back into the tote bag. A rain fly is included. Stakes are also included. Some other nice features are a convenient storage pouch inside the tent to store accessories. There is also an electrical cord port to allow power to run to the tent. Fiberglass poles with bungee cords inside snap together easily. A large zippered flap make entry and exit hassle-free. Zippered vent flaps help keep the tent cool. Over-all its a good value but not a five star rating in my opinion, because one of the fiberglass poles snapped in two while trying to erect the tent. It's winter here so I had to try and erect this tent inside, with poor results, as you'll see by the pics below.

Good late Spring thru early Fall camping tent. A good tent for those weekend camping trips, or those summer kid backyard overnights, this Wakeman tent is small and light when packaged up (about 24 in and 7 lbs), yet pitches to a roomy 9’ by 10’ size. The instructions for assembling the tent are actually sewn into the carry bag...a very nice touch! It is not as light as a backpacking tent but it is small enough I would have no problem taking it on a short trip. It is supposed to be a 4 man tent, but I believe it would be crowded with 4 adults; more like a 3 man tent in my thinking (or 2 adults and 2 children). It is very easy to set up; it took me about 10-15 minutes to set it up for the first time by myself; the hardest part was ‘bending’ and ‘adjusting’ the poles to complete the frame (they are made of what I think is stiff fiberglass). Once in and set, they hold the tent up very nicely and provide a study frame. The fly was also easy to assemble and attach and is really necessary, as there is a lot of ventilation mesh on the top of the tent and should a sudden rainstorm come up you want protection from the weather. Striking the tent was also a very easy and quick process, with the hardest thing being getting the tent back to a size that will fit back into the carry bag. The tent is made of a lightweight polyester or nylon material and seems to be sewn together nicely. The floor of the tent, and the material it is made up of, comes up the sides about 4-5 inches and looks like it will protect from water getting in (a problem I have had with other tents I have owned). Also provided are 4 corner stakes; this will be first thing I will upgrade, as the soil around here is very hard and I need sturdier ones. I expect that with care this tent will last for many years. I only have two complaints: one is the carry bag; the tent is a very tight fit and hard to get back in. If it were a bit bigger it would not be an issue but this is something that I will eventually replace. The other complaint is the door zipper: it is very tight and hard to close at the top and I am afraid that it will separate and will have to be repaired. It could be that the tent was too tight on the frame, but I will experiment and see if maybe with time it gets easier to close. Overall, I think this is a great weekend warrior tent and will be a good addition for those who like to ‘grab and go’ for a Friday thru Sunday getaway to the woods or mountains.

Great four person dome tent, it is 7 feet by 9 feet by 60 inches high made by Wakeman outdoors. Very easy to set up comes with fiberglass bungee poles and stakes. Very well constructed, double seams, windows in the front and back with a zipper to open for the screen. A great feature is a small zippered opening in the right front corner for cords to run through, there is also one on the back side under a flap.There is also a pocket in the middle of the right side of tent, for glasses, watches etc. Comes with a two handle carry bag.

Wakeman 4 Person Dome Water Resistant Tent is designed well and built to last a while. They sewed the directions inside the nice carrying case that holds the tent, poles and the stakes. This weighs less than 8 lbs so it would be easy to pack out. The tent poles I can’t tell whether they are aluminum or fiberglass. But they seem well made nevertheless with a high quality bungee inside. They are light so maybe aluminum. The stakes and cord are smartly stored in a polyester bag. The door zipper seems OK, something to always respect to keep it working and the role it plays in keeping you comfortable. It's cold and rainy outside otherwise we could open this up. It will make a great tent to take the family for some fun. It is a comfortable size and perfect for three seasons a year

I bought this tent to take my son BoyScout Camping. It is small, lite and easy to use! Everything you needed came with it, it set up very easily and is built quite well. I really enjoyed using this tent, we had plenty of space for our belongings and it was very comfortable. I only found one weakness and may be the zippers in the entrance, you need to be careful, like with any tent, when you open and close the door. Apart from that it is really good and packed up just, as easily as, when you opened it. Highly Recommend for small camping trips.

Bought this in April and used in May in the PNW. It rained during our weekend of camping and there were massive puddles throughout it that I have no idea how it got that way. The tent is screened on both sides of the tent and then zipped in the front and back. The rain cover goes over the majority of the tent but either didn't do its job or the leaks were from other places. It sleeps 2 comfortably, maybe 3, no idea how they get 4. Recommend if its good weather when camping.

This tent on my first use on my 2nd day of camping, it had rained, but then somehow, the water got into the tent floor, in the morning, the floor was left with a puddle, I would not recommend buying this product.

Stinks so bad... My neighbor left this tent in the yard to for two days. Every time pass by, I can smell an unpleasant smell of plastic...
