Answer This Question

A:  Yes, if generator has TT-30A Receptical and RV has TT-30A plug.

by|Jul 31, 2022

A:  Yes. But you need a dogbone adapter for the 110v 15 or 20 amp outlet and the 30 amp plug on the extension cord (NEMA 5-15R/NEMA TT-30P) on the generator side. Also you are limited by the amps you can draw from your generator.

A:  This is an extension cord. In others words, if you have an RV with a standard 30 amp 110vac push in/non twist lock cord, like they use at RV parks, you can plug into this cord and the other end is a male so you can plug into your generator if it has the mating 30 amp plug-in

        Answer This Question

A:  if you have the right plug adapter i would assume so. It is often recommended to use a 'surge guard' between your power source and your RV, however, if that is what you are using the generator for.

        by|Jul 21, 2020

A:  No, this wire can't be used in the house with a portable generator.

Doesn't melt like regular extension cords
It hasn't shown any signs of heating up even under the load of an AC, coffee machine, and microwave. The male end that you plug into the power source has a narrow profile and does not have the finger grab handle that a lot of 30-amp plugs have for some reason (do people have trouble pulling them out?). This is great because I can always close the cover on the power box. I have no doubt that I'll be carrying around & using this for a long time.

Haven’t had a chance to use it yet that’s why I gave it 4 stars but seems like it heavy duty enough I’ll try to review after I use it.

                RV TT-30
Good price, seems like good quality. I now understand the classification: RV TT-30. (Recreational Vehicle, Travel Trailer) -30 amp and in this case 30’) Arrived on time. Now I can park with either side facing the electrical outlet and as far up or back as I like. This is important at my campsite. If you can find a better deal, grab it! I did a lot of research and this is the best found. Try buying 30’ #10 stw cable 3 conductor w/o male and female plugs. You’ll be pleasantly surprised. Happy Camping!! 13’ Burro
