Q:Will the GETHQL21125 125 amp 2 pole work in this box as a main breaker?

Answer This Question

A:  The TPL412CP is a main lug only device. Consider one of the TLM612 models with a THQLRK2CP main breaker retaining kit and the THQL21125 for a 10kaic main breaker application. Thank you for your question.

    great panel
we used this as an electical breaker box in an RV type trailer. we ran a 30A plug to the service side then used 15A - 20A breakers to run the circuits. it is small enough for our application light weight and easy to install.

I like how GE panels you can remove the bar that connects the neutral and ground and install the green screw to separate the 2 so you can put neutral wires on one side and grounds on the other. Makes it very simple.

    100A now, 200A later
Had a 20 slot 100 amp breaker. Needed more slots but didnt need 200A. Didnt wanna pay extra ~1500 for 200A pipe and wiring outside. Didnt wanna change panel now to bigger 100A and again if eventually needing 200A. Called GE, Siemens, Sq D. GE call took 5 mins, guy knew his stuff. Other 2 calls took 30 or 45 minutes. This GE seemed to be the only option with an approved 100A main breaker that can go in it and be swapped to 200A later. Also takes the cheap breakers (ie, not plug-in neutral).
