Q:I live in Ohio. Right now temps are bouncing between 30-50s. Should I plant this as soon as I revive or should I keep it in the house for a bit until temps become more stable. Unsure what it could handle since it will likely be dormant when it arrives.

Answer This Question

A:  Hi and thank you for the question. For best results I would refrain from planting this outside with temperatures getting below freezing still here in Ohio. The plant you will receive will have a little bit of fresh growth and those really cold temperatures can cause frost damage. You should be able to plant these outside here soon though.

rose arrived with most branches broken
I received this Popcorn Drift rose about a week later than originally promised. It arrived in a partially crushed box. Upon opening I found that the bush was crushed to the point that most of it's branches were broken. It was much smaller than I expected for a gallon sized plant. In the same order I had 2 Knock Out bushes, they were perfectly healthy with some buds. This was a reorder as the first bush died, totally my fault. It arrived in very good shape.

        Nothing like the seller’s photo
It came in very small and no any flower, not even a bud. I hope it will grow well like the seller’s photo eventually. I would not buy it at $30 in store:)

          Disappointed
The plant was received on 3-16-23, upon opening the box I was disappointed in the condition and size of the plant. I will plant it and it will probably take. I also ordered a plant from a different company I am including a photo of that plant also you can easily see the difference in quality. I will be buying more plants but not from this company!

The container might have a gallon of dirt but the plants were very small nothing close to the picture and what I have purchased previously. Better off buying in store.

No buds, no leaves, root stock only
Delivery was on time, well packaged. When opened I was disappointed. Whereas the quality looks decent, there was not a single leaf or bud. It appears to be just coming out of dormancy, there are a lot of leaf nodules but that is all. I'd of been as well off to have ordered a bare root or cutting. I will be returning this one to the store if they have any that are in stock. This one looks like it will do fine, but I don't want to wait for it to grow out,

One looks ok, the other is shabby
I've ordered flowers several times online, only because what I want is not in the store. I got two drifts this time. The one gallon had the box smashed up and the plant is all dried up, it may come up from the root ok, but not what I expected for the price. Did not have enough soil and was very dry, leaves are all dead and limbs look scraggly. Will baby for a month, then see if I want to return it, defeats the purpose of ordering early. Don't recommend this one.

The roses arrived in pretty poor condition. Just looked like little sticks. I am going to try to keep them and get them up to good health. I just could not find this particular color. I would suggest buying in person so you can pick nice ones.
