The doors are only about a month old and the finish on the handle is peeling off!

Beautiful great upgrade for our bathroom!
We found the door a bit confusing in the beginning but once we went through the clear instructions it all worked perfectly and we installed the door without much trouble. It looks awesome and is a great upgrade for our existing shower tub combo.

            Good engineering, awful instruction set
If it wasn’t for the total disaster of an instruction set for this door, this would be a great product. But I just cannot bring myself to give this product more than three stars thanks to the near catastrophic instructions/installation manual. This stainless steel/brushed aluminum shower/tub sliding glass door is really a work of modern art. It is engineered well, it has an incredibly sleek, clean, modern design aesthetic. It looks like it should be in a 5 star Scandinavian hotel. Precision extruded and milled parts, beautiful finishes, and solid construction throughout. Problem is, no one ensured that the instruction set would ship from the factory matching up what was in the box. Every single part in this box did not at all match up with the instruction part name labels. They weren’t even in the same ballpark. Literally every, single, part was labeled wrong. So then it falls to me, someone with some seriously advanced DIY skills, to double and triple check parts in the box against the manual, trying to ensure that each part matches up with the manual diagram. This was kind of a nightmare. I do not recommend this for the Hobby or casual DIYer. You will need to really know what you are doing. Also look at the attached screenshots to make sure you have a tub with the right dimensions. Including sill depth. Also the manual has 50 steps. That’s right, 50. There needs to be a serious sit down and rewrite of the manual, with better diagram angles and close-ups shown, and of course every part should be labeled correctly. If you are good with DIY, and have plenty of experience with more advanced projects, then I would recommend you get this shower door, because the engineering and product quality is too good to pass up. Otherwise look for something else less complicated.

            Elegant door
This door has a clean modern design with minimal metal. I like that the bottom is trackless (other than a small plastic center support) yet has a narrow stainless water dam across the tub face to ensure water can’t flow out under the doors. I also like that the doors close completely at the side walls using magnetic strips and the side wall metal strips are very narrow. The top bar holds all the weight, and large rubber rollers on it do all the work. The handles are on both sides of both doors, which makes using them easy from inside and out. The doors can be installed either way, so work for shower heads on any side. The tub opening width can be anywhere from 55 3/8 – 59 3/8 in. It is MANDATORY that the brackets for the top bar are screwed into studs. Those screws go in >= to 2.5in. behind the face of the tub (after any curved edge) roughly 55in. up from tub sill. You cannot install any more forward. You can install farther back but only slightly because the plastic door support that gets installed at the center of the tub sill will extend out into the tub if you go too far back. I cannot recommend enough to download the entire manual from this listing and read every installation step through to the end to get the big picture. Ensure you have the studs to install this door as instructed. The doors are 115 lbs. Two people can maneuver the box and glass doors. When unpack, label confusable pieces with their letters. Mark the studs and lay out the pieces on the tub that relate to each other (like I did in my photos) like a puzzle to determine exactly where to install.. and confirm again that you do have the studs to install. The side wall bars are installed in front and behind the top bracket, but they don’t necessarily have to be screwed into studs because just anchors should be able to handle the light magnet tension that they will have on them. You must drill quite a few holes in the side wall and one into the tub sill. They are not large, but if you have tile/granite/marble, I still recommend starting with a smaller size masonry bit on the side walls to get a precise center and then switch to the recommended size. Also put masking tape over slick surfaces to drill without slipping. The manual is missing instructions for the hole and anchor to use on steel tubs for the center support screw. I am assuming it is the same as the acrylic instructions. Unfortunately, our studs are too far forward on the tub we want to install this on, so we are considering opening the walls behind and sistering the studs, or we may install in another bathroom that has an old door. Bigger project than we wanted either way, so thinking on it. Lovely door!

            Beautiful shower doors! Well built!
This shower door setup is a lot nicer than I expected. The glass is very heavy; about 8mm thick, tempered, and is ANSI Z-97.1-2015 rated. The enclosure is what they call “frameless” and works well for enclosures with limited space, or ones with uneven surfaces like mine. My shower enclosure isn’t exactly flat, but due to the thin frame on the sides, I was able to make it work beautifully. I really like how the doors, once you put the hardware on, have a magnetic strip that keeps the doors tight against the walls of the shower and keeps the water inside. You must make sure that you get the track which the doors slide on into wall studs, due to the heavy weight of the doors. Make sure you have someone helping you lift them to get them into position though. As long as you have the track level; the doors will slide effortlessly back and forth. This was a lot easier to install compared to a typical shower enclosure in a sense, because of the design; but because this install in my shower wasn’t on a “straight” wall”, it took a little bit of layout preparation on my part to ensure that I had everything lined up right. I’m glad I can finally keep all the water inside the tub since the wife and kids can’t seem to keep it inside with a standard shower curtain.

Good for any standard bath - but glass is on the thin side
I like the fact everything is in the box and separated nicely so the installation can be as simple as possible. Make no mistake about it, you will need studs or a good 3/4 plywood behind any tile work you have. The weight and use of these doors on a regular basis will not hold up well if you have hollow wall anchors holding this up. The glass is on the thin side, which should be ok as long as you are not too rough with it. The glass is clear, and does not seem to have any coating to help with water stains - so you will probably have to squeegee it after each use.

Very high quality and looks luxurious
I am renovating my entire bathroom because the components are outdated and no longer functional. The main focal point of my bathroom are the shower doors, so when I came across this Delta C500 sliding and frameless tub door, I knew right then this fit the look I was looking for. 1) It has a clear glass door (vs the old textured door that was there before) that allows full view of the white tile surround 2) The finish of the frame and rollers are nickel, which matches the nickel plumbing fixtures in the rest of the bathroom 3) The doors glide effortlessly on the barn door track from left to right. Hardware is super heavy duty vs the old plastic clips that were used on my old setup (see picture) 4) install accommodates the roller shower door to open either on the left or right side, depending on the showerhead/control valve location 5) The door handles are robust and allow for easy gripping (versus my old door that had a plastic L-bracket the size of two fingers, one of which broke during normal use) 6) Instructions were very well laid out, step by step – something I appreciate since this is my first time doing this sort of project 7) Delta is a well known brand and I have other Delta branded items, such as my toilet and bathroom faucet, that I am very happy with. To me, everything about this setup exudes luxury.

            NICE TUB DOORS
I got these tub doors for our shower that only had shower curtains on it. The doors came in on a pallet, to help protect it. The packaging has what is needed to install the doors on my tub. The directions are straightforward and easy to follow. You may have to do some cutting to make it fit your tub. Everything goes together very simply and looks great when finished.

excellent quality, good weight, smooth operation, nice upgrade
I have installed a couple of these, both by Delta. They are excellent quality and will last a long time.  Just the right weight and the doors operate smoothly.  I like the "spot guard" glass which really does resist water spots.  The one recommendation I'd make is to read the instructions completely before starting.  In fact, read them a couple of times so you understand the complete installation process.  Measure twice cut once is the best approach.  There are adjustments to allow for out-of-plumb situations.  I installed these shower doors in my guest bath, but would make a nice addition to a master bathroom too.  Overall, I'm very satisfied with Delta shower doors in general and this one is no exception.

A stunning minimalist door with effortless rollers, it should be installed and used with care.
To start with, this door is simply stunning. It has a great minimalist look that is often sought after today. The inside and outside rollers glide effortlessly, so effortlessly that care must be given to avoid "slamming" the sliding door. The side strips are simply magnetic seal strips that are attached with silicone to the ceramic tile. The top track, unlike most enclosures, does not rest on an end frame. Instead it is supported by mounts that are screwed directly into the wall. Therefore the top rail "must be suspended between framing studs" as per the provided directions. I have installed many sliding tub doors but I chose to hire a "Pro" for this one. It required confirmation of the studs and also required drilling several holes through the ceramic tile and one screw into the tub. I want to note that due to design, the door handles come in contact with the silicone seals each time they are opened or closed. In summary we give it 4 stars for it's beauty and quality of construction, but we will be keeping an eye open when our younger grandkids use this door. Durability will be proven with time. It comes with a 5 year limited warranty.
