I've been doing many more electrical projects lately so these were perfect for my needs. This package has 3 different sizes to be used with a variety of wire gauges. For my needs, they will all be under 600V of which they are all rated for. Follow the package for instructions on how many wires depending on their gauge can fit in the wire connectors. Because these are winged, I wouldn't recommend using these in tight spaces due to the wings. The wings come in handy when twisting them onto the wires of course. Very sturdy and none have come apart.
This assortment pack covers the most use you'll need in a 110VAC circuit in your home or office. The outside of the pack has a handy chart for the minimum and maximum number of different size wires you can use for the different winged caps. The caps themselves are made of a hard poly material with a metal insert to ensure both a good grip and a good connection.
Up until now my collection of wire nuts has been a hodgepodge of different brands leftover from various projects. Different brands means that the colors don't necessarily stand for the same gauge and number of wires. I have a collection of 4 yellows that are incompatible with each other. In getting this Commercial Electric Winged Wire assortment pack, I was putting an end to the confusion. The resealable pouch contains there different size connectors that are applicable to most of the 120V wiring in residential homes. Included is a guide telling you the min and max of wires per gauge that will work with each color. Their is some crossover allowing for the use of a smaller connector in tight fitting situations.
Unlike most other wire connectors, these are both ribbed and winged. The ribs allow for easier gripping and when needed the wings allow for applying extra torque. It is the best of both worlds, thus saving time and the need to use lineman pliers. They are UL listed for 600V.
While this is the prefect assortment for the occasional DIY project I would have preferred a divided container over the resealable bag, as digging through the narrow opening can be annoying.
In use these winged wire connectors were easy to use. They include instructions in which EC recommends not pre-twisting the wires, whereas most electricians swear by pre-twisting. I tried both ways and it seems you can make a satisfactory and safe connection with either method. I placed these connectors in a jar with the guide for easier use. Overall I was very pleased with their performance and the end to my wire nut confusion.
This assortment contains the most common sizes used for electrical wiring connections in either a commercial or a residential setting. They are used to quickly join wires without soldering and no electrical tape is needed. The secret is the cone-shaped spring inside each wire nut that helps to pull the wires into the connector for a secure, insulated joint. In addition, each one can be unscrewed in the event that you need to disconnect a device, sometime in the future. Another feature of these wire nuts is that all sizes have two small opposing wings for a sure grip when tightening or loosening, even when wearing gloves. A less obvious bonus is that the shorter wings on each connector also minimize the space consumption inside either a junction or single-gang electrical box. Voltage rating for the Commercial Electric winged wiring connectors is 600-volts minimum and are UL Listed for use on copper wire connections only.
I have been doing residential electrical work for many years and wire nuts/connectors are essential. As I get older my grip isn’t what it formerly was so I moved to using the winged connectors. These connectors allow for a much better bite and secured union. As a DIY’r I don’t go through as many so I find that having a variety of sizes ensure that I have the right one when needed. These CE wire nuts are of a high quality and are recommended for your needs.

Color coded to make it easier to find the correct size.
Yellow – Three 14 gauge wires
Tan – Four 14 gauge wires
Red – Five 14 gauge wires
We tested using the 14 gauge wires. If you use thicker or thinner wires you will have slightly different results.
We typically use the smallest wire nut that will fit the wires we are using.
Per the manufacturer you are only supposed to use the wire nuts once. The spring inside the wire nut gets worn out.
This is a handy size pack, perfect for DIY'ers or others that occasionally have to replace an electrical fixture, outlet or switch. The connectors seem solid and well made, comparable in quality and size to the Ideal branded "Twister" style ones I usually use.
Unlike most handy packs, the bag is resealable so you won't lose the wire nuts in the bottom of your tool bag.
The commercial electric winged wire connectors are well made and hold tight. The wings on these connectors made it very easy to grip and twist to get a good connection between the wires. Wings should be standard on wire connectors. The packaging was well marked on which colored connectors maximum number of wires they can hold. Instructions were clear and the package can be re-sealed due to the ziplock feature
The Commercial Electric Winged Wire Connector, Assortment (30-Pack) is useful if you do your own wiring project. This assortment has 3 different sizes that can handle #14, #12 wires which are common in almost all home wiring jobs. I have found that the winged connectors are better as you can grip them easier when twisting together the wires within the connectors.
This product is 30 pieces of Commercial Electric Winged Wire Connectors. These connectors are handy to have on hand. This pack has three different sizes. The smaller connector (yellow) handles 2-#19 to 3-#12, the next size (gray) takes 2*#20 to 3*#10, and the largest (red) handles 2-#14 to 5-#12. The wire spring in the connectors do an excellent job of getting the wires twisted securely into the connector. I like this packet because it has a good assortment of high quality connectors and I will be more likely to have the correct connector if an in-use connector needs to be replaced.
