Q:Our wall has a 23.5" center where we want to install. The other studs are randomly spaced, not 24", not 16". JUST RANDOM!!! Is there an extension brace that can adapt the Model #1006 316 038 TV Wall Mount to 23.5"? I don't want to mount into sheet rock.

Heavy duty
This is a heavy duty wall mounted tv stand. It comes with all parts and accessories needed for smaller TVs up to 65 inch TVs. There are heavy duty lug style bolts to drive right into wood studs and I’d definite recommend that. The unit can be tight against the wall. It can also be adjusted away from the wall about 9 inches. At this point you can adjust your tv to the left and or the right depending on your needs. There is a minor up down adjustment but that could be more fully adjustable. Unfortunately the 65 in tv unordered is stuck somewhere for to the supply issues so I was unable to show you what it looks like mounted. I am very confident the heavy duty black metal will hold up any tv you buy.
This is a really sturdy bracket. Perhaps heavier duty than I need for a 70-pound television, but I am inclined to go for over engineering on this one. The wall mount is well constructed and basically all steel with the exception of bushings and two plastic trims at the ends of the arms. If you are installing a very large or heavy television, you should plan on being meticulous with your installation. You may be careful in how you move the television around, but teenagers or gorillas may stress test your install. The good news is that the actual bracket seems to be up to the task. As for the bracket, the motion has a certain stiffness to it. It definitely isn’t floppy or loose. Nothing about this wall mount feels cheap or weak. I also like that it should be pretty simple to change televisions when I do my next upgrade. The only real surprise about the wall mount was there isn’t much adjustment for positioning on my stud wall. From what I could figure out, the rear bracket had to basically be fastened on center between the two studs. So the studs will determine where you television is located along your wall.
Commercial Electric Full Motion Wall Mount for 32 inch to 90 inch TVs. Was a little concerned because shipping container was a little beat up however product box was only minor dent and product well packaged and in good condition. Black coated metal construction. Includes all brackets and hardware, mounting instructions, little magnetic bubble level, cable strap, and HDMI cable. Most impressed with inclusion of HDMI cable - (most TVs don't include it and make you purchase separately). Waiting for contractor to help us install our new 65" TV in newly remodeled family room. This appears heavy duty and perfect for the job!
very well-built, and everything you need is included
This is how a wall-mount kit should be - the build quality is first-rate, the finish is beautiful, and everything is included for almost every conceivable installation scenario. I say almost, because someone will find some outlying condition, but seriously, as you can see from the pictures, there are kits of parts with various sized screws, spacers, anchors,... Installation is easy as this will span a full 16"-spaced pair of studs or anything up to 16". Multiple holes mean that you will never have to drill additional holes to make it fit. Once the support mechanism is installed on the wall, then the brackets are attached to the TV (pretty much every VESA size is supported, and then the bracket is hung on the support and moved side-to side to achieve centering of the TV against the wall. It also allows for tilting for an optimum viewing angle
This is a simple and super easy to install television mount. I needed to mount my TV in a corner of the room so I needed a mount that could extend and move left or right a bit. This TV mount does exactly that. It comes with a template to use to mark the mounting holes and it is secured to the wall with three lags screws. It also comes with all sorts of hardware for mounting the actual television to the TV mount plate.
I picked this up to add a TV to my home office/gym. I still have to buy the TV so I’m yet to use it. The mount it self is beefy! It has some weight to it. The kit comes with a template to mark your holes out on the wall. The hardware it comes with seems beefy and high quality. I’ve hung several TVs with various wall mounts and this one seems to be a high quality mount. I’m looking forward to using it soon to mount my new TV.
Solid built mount with some minor issues but on the whole well executed
This is a solid mount and looks like it will have no issue holding my 70 inch TV which is well within the weight limit for the mount. I have a 70 inch TV I have had for probably 10 years (bought when flat 70’s first came out and they were ridiculously more expensive than they are now) and it is still a good TV after all these years. I have waffled around about mounting it on the wall off and on all this time. Mainly out of reluctance to put holes in my wall. I’ve mounted other TV’s. I’ve just not been sure I wanted to do this one. I knew if I did it had to go on something very solid. I know I can replace the TV for a lot less now but I have no desire to as long as it continues working well. So it had to be well made to keep the TV secure. I also wanted something that will go in close to the wall as that is how it will normally sit but pull out when I need access to the back of it. The pros I see are this thing is built solid. It is heavy and nothing is flimsy about it. That is a pro in terms of durability. The cons are it will only span 2 studs on 16 inch centers. That’s a lot of weight on just 2 studs if it is pulled out any but it should suffice. But 3 would be better so a wider base would be a plus for bigger TV’s. But that would require a 48 inch base which is not common. Also a nit picky thing is the hardware is not powder coated. It is mainly plain steel (not powder coated black). That’s a detail where they cheaped out a little in my view though it seems solid enough. But once mounted I doubt any of it will be visible. Also the adjustments are all screwdriver driven as are the clamps when clamping to the base. Some TV mounts have knurled knobs where adjustments like viewing angle can be made without tools. And many work this way for clamping to the base. Not with this one. The advantage of the type used is they tend to be more solid than something hand tightened. And to be honest I don’t see myself moving a 70 inch TV around a lot. I’ll get it like I want it then leave it that way. But if you were frequently moving things around the method required to do that would be a detractor. It all depends on how you will use it. For me it is probably fine. Time will tell. It’s not like I move it around now where it sits on a big TV stand using the feet it came with. Like most the brackets are designed to make it easy to hang the TV once the base is on the wall. Since you can pull it out, this means you can leave the feet on until after hanging the TV which makes that process easier. If it just sat close to the wall you could not do that due to clearance issues.

This is a nice product. The instructions manual is comprehensive, but the font is small. And though there are a large number of fasteners supplied for possible use, they are nicely packaged and grouped together, making them easy to see and relatively easy to find.
The instructions were comprehensive, and the mount fit the back of my TV without the need for adapters or extensions – all provided if needed. After separating the TV mount from the wall bracket, the TV mount is fitted to the back of the TV first, followed by mounting the wall bracket to the wall. Finally, the TV with attached mount is lowered onto the wall bracket and secured with two heavy duty Allen bolts. Depending on the size and weight of the TV, this can be a one-person job.
Both a level and combo Phillips screwdriver/Allen wrench are also provided, as is a 70” HDMI cable, hook/loop strap to neatly gather cables together, and a cardboard mounting template to mark wall mount drilling locations. I found it best to measure the template distance from the edges of my TV, as it was oriented to the mount placed on the back of the TV. This helped me to place the TV so that it cleared a nearby wall and ceiling.
The mounting is nicely fabricated of heavy metal, and it is easily adjustable in all planes. My visual assessment is that this is a quality product, well-designed and thoughtfully engineered. It has a range of motion from the wall of about 2” to 16”.
I like the fact that it is easy to position a TV almost exactly as you wish, given the range of articulation offered by this product, and then to be able to store the TV close to the wall. We have a small bedroom space, so this product helped to maximize use of the space by being able to mount our TV closely to a wall yet position it for viewing at almost any angle. I suppose it’s necessary to accommodate the variety of TV mounting styles, but there were an awful lot of unused fasteners when the job was finished (see picture) and perhaps this is one reason for a price that is a tad higher than I would expect. Still, it’s a good product I would recommend to a friend.
