A:  It came assembled with blade in place. I did adjust it to make it a little less of a bite but it was easy and did a great job

A:  Position the blade and hold it in place with one hand, and tighten the retaining screw with the other hand. You’ll likely need to do this a few times before you get the blade straight + to desired height.

A:  In the accompanying photos you can see the 3 step process. Step 1 is to insert the small painted metal piece into the larger painted metal base until it rests on the silver colored rod...there is an indentation in the small piece that rests against the silver colored rod. Step 2 is to insert the silver colored blade between the small blue metal piece and the larger blue metal base. The key here is ito nsert the blade correctly...the angled edge imust face down toward the bottom of the base of the file (larger blue painted metal). Step 3 is to insert the tightening bolt. This bolt screws in to tighten down the blade. You can loosen the bolt to adjust the depth the blade will cut. When you get the right depth then tighten the bolt...use a screwdriver in the slot of the bolt to finish tightening.
