A: John, this lumber will not be treated at all. As cedar, it relies on its natural resistance to insects and decay to protect it. However, we have not conducted any testing to determine if this lumber can withstand the conditions of a sauna installation. Therefore, we do not have any recommendations for using this lumber in that specific style of installation.

A: Cheryl, This is just a warning put on all wood products due to Drilling, sawing, sanding, or machining wood products can expose you to wood dust, a substance known to the State of California to cause cancer. Avoid inhaling wood dust or use a dust mask or other safeguards for personal protection.
