How do I know if the tool I want is available?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what tools are up for rent. You can also call first to inquire about a tool, or check out our tool rental page to see if it's offered at your local store. If it's not, try another nearby store or reach out to our Rental Center associates to discover where that tool may be available. Can I rent a tool for an hour?
Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small home improvement jobs may only require a short rental period, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the month, week, or day, too. If you need it longer than what you signed up for, call the Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I return the tools?
It's fine to return the tools early if you finish your project ahead of schedule, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any mud or dirt from the tool as well. If you need it longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.
Do circular saw rentals come with saw blades?
Yes, power saw rentals usually come with blades, but we recommend that you get your own. Your rental likely won't come with a new blade. However, you might get lucky and have a sharpened blade on the saw. As there's no guarantee, it's better to buy a suitable blade, just in case you need it.
