How does truck rental work?
Stop by the Villa Rica Rental Center to see which vans or trucks you can rent. If you'd like confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about renting a Load 'N Go pickup truck, flatbed truck, or cargo van. Penske moving truck rentals and moving vans have different rules. You can also read our truck rental page to see if what you need is in stock at your local store.
Can I rent a truck for a week?
Rent a moving van or truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on the length of your project. Remember to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you'll need to return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the provided documentation before you select a truck.
Should I refill the rental truck before I bring it back?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you return it. Make a note of the fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. If you don't, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
