The Home Depot Rental Center at Turfland

Start your next DIY project with confidence and the correct tools. Let The Home Depot Turfland Tool Rental Center expand your toolbox with the tools you don't have at home. You can rent what you need and bring it back when you've completed the project. If it turns out the rental tools would be more useful than you thought, inquire about buying our retired rental tools. Compared to the new items on our store shelves, they're discounted.

A Comfortable Workspace is a Productive One
Get ahead of summer heat by prepping in the springtime. Plan to keep your workspace comfortably cool so you can get more done. We have generators to run fans, rental air conditioners, and all your large power tools.

Tame the Lawn and Bushes Early
Greet the spring with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten around the garden and shrubs with hedge trimmers and lawn edgers, and get that sidewalk and driveway clean again with a pressure washer rental. Your outdoor oasis will be refreshed and ready for new spring flowers before you know it.

Load 'N Go Trucks
If you're looking to rent a large tool but don't have a way to get it home, let us help with that too. Check out our Load 'N Go rental vehicles and rent a truck. Avoid taking up space in the driveway with an old pickup for the rare occasion of hauling items. Just rent a moving truck and keep your driveway open for grilling, hopscotch, or a game of catch.

How do I rent tools or trucks?

Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what's available. If you'd like confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a tool or truck. You might also visit our truck rental or tool rental pages to see if what you need is carried at your store. For more info on renting tools, read our Tool Rental FAQs, which includes equipment terms and conditions.

Can I rent a tool for an hour?

You can rent a tool for four hours or more. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY projects may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and long-term projects aren't a problem either. You've got options to rent tools by the month, week, or day, too. If you need it longer than what you signed up for, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I return the tools?

You're welcome to return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any built-up dirt from the tool as well. If you need it longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.

How long can I rent a truck?

Rent a truck or moving van for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on how long your project is. Be sure to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you must return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the contract and terms and conditions before choosing a truck.

Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?

Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Match the amount of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. If you don't, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?

No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
