Can I rent a Penske moving van?

If you'd like to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about renting a Load 'N Go cargo van, flatbed truck, or pickup truck. Penske moving van rentals and moving trucks have different rules. You could also visit our truck rental page to see if the vehicle you need is at your store.
Can I choose how long to rent a truck?
Rent a pickup truck, van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on the length of your project. Remember to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you must bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the contract before choosing a van.
Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Note the amount of gas in the tank when you receive the truck, and fill it with enough gas to match that level. When you don't refill the truck, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
