Good store great customer service

A cashier wouldn’t allow me to use my gift card that my wife got me for Father’s Day. She told me if I didn’t purchase the gift card then I can’t use it. I shop here all the time and I never have any issues. I was in a rush so I left and called the manager later. She was also of no assistance, lied, and tried to cover for the cashier. She was rude and it shocked me because I spend so much money there annually. Thanks to this experience I’ll be taking my black earned dollars to Lowe’s, a black owned business.

I had to wait at least 20 minutes for help in the window covering aisle. Thjree different store associates made a page for assistance. Poor customer service

There is always many plants from which to choose. All types of gardening and home products and equipment. I could browse all day.

I'm not sure any HD stores are any better during this pandemic but the South Plainfield store was a mess. I was shopping in the paint and garden areas. Products were way understocked and what was available was scattered about and damaged. Worse, there were no knowledgeable employees available to assist me with questions regarding wood stain and polyurethane products after 3 attempts to get help. Finally left with some landscape rocks and nothing for refinishing my wood patio table.

The associate in the window department was useless! Absolutely know help. Never got up from his chair. It was like pulling teeth to get a question answered. I think he enjoyed me struggling with getting the correct screen. Like he could not be bothered or I was bothering him! Had to figure out what I needed on my own. Not the first time I dealt with this guy. No personally, not help, terrible!

Overall, I am happy with the quality of this location. However, DO NOT "order online/pickup store" and expect to not wait forever to pick up your order. It is SO MUCH easier to just walk in and purchase your items, or just have it delivered.

I went to this store to get all the supplies for a tiling project and the associate was exceptionally helpful. He loaded all the heavy supplies for me without being asked. He directed me to every item I needed in the aisle and explained where all the other items could be found. He even pushed my cart to the register to wait till I filled my second cart. The cashier was very patient and suggested the store credit card which saved me a lot on the large order. Another associate promptly came up to help me load my vehicle.

Saje is always polite and knowledgeable. Today I asked a cashier to please page an associate to the floral dept since I could not find anyone there. She rudely wasted my time correcting me that it's actually called the "seasonal department". I was annoyed at her poor attitude and she really took her time calling someone over the loud speaker. I heard her announcement after about 5 minutes. I was extremely pleased when two employees came to help me find the bush I was looking for, even though one (Grace) was not trained in that department yet and the other (Bill)said it wasn't his department. They both took time helping me resolve my issues, even though the bush I needed was no longer in stock. Bill and Grace turned my frustration into gratitude. I won't mention the name of the rude cashier. She was working at the register closest to the power tools. There's also Avery helpful lady associate working in plumbing. I think her name might be "Deb" or "Dev"? Anyway, she members me every time I come in and she follows up with me on how my bathroom came out. She's personable and it stands out, especially among some other employees who don't share her and Saje's good attitude.

the most important reason I like coming the South Plainfield facility first are the employees that are always helpful and respectful-I could always expect to find what I needed for a project and receive help when I had no idea on how to do it.

I went in for a fairly large tile order (two pallets). I believe that when a larger order is requested they should pull staff and process that order asap. I mean for real, let's stop the forklift with a ton of tile on board and help some guy purchase a single tube of caulk. I will say the guys were exceedingly pleasant and did get it loaded within a reasonable time. You can still be polite. How about "Excuse me sir, I am just going to finish up with this customer so I can give you my undivided attention." That does the trick.

Excellent customer service in paint, cleaners, electrical, help desk and cashier! All around 5 stars... in and out of the store in 10 min!

I would say to customers to shop in other HomeDepot stores. This location is not customer friendly at all. There is no assistance available in purchasing appliances or any plumbing needs such as faucets, valves, etc. Funny part is almost every HomeDepot employee introduces himself manager at this location- appliance manager, plumbing manager, electrician manager etc etc. No real person to address your problem when you are in need of advice.

John, Lai and the outdoor Christmas tree team are fantastic. They are very helpful and cheerful despite the freezing weather! This is the second year we bought our tree from this specific Home Depot location in South Plainfield NJ

Very good and friendly invenroment. The store was clean and the items are cheaper than other stores. Also, I saw the Home Depot at South Plainfield sales new products like car oil. I think that Hope Depot should sale groceries products also.

We had a great experience at this location . Our associate Bobby in the pro service department was very busy and being pulled in many different directions but still helped us get what we needed and was very friendly.

I have found the store to be well stocked, as well as , the store always being clean and stocked items in its place. There has always been an employee nearby for any assistance needed, and they readily offer assistance.
