The only Employee who went above and beyond was LAURA in the Customer Service Area and she gave us 200%, she was the ONLY employee who did. Laura went ABOVE AND BEYOND when Others did NOT. The person who was the Absolute WORST EMPLOYEE was BARRY! We tried to ask him multiple times for help and he REFUSED and he was NASTY when my mother (87 yrs old) said "excuse me can you help us?" his answer "NO" and walked away! We will NEVER FORGET IT. LAURA was on her own gave us 200% HELP from beginning to end.

Have found a few very helpful people and then too I have found a few attendants that left me shaking my head wondering at their lack of knowledge of their appointed station

3407 is like DIY heaven. But do NOT buy GE washers etc. They’re junk. And stop the steel.

The store was clean, but with Covid (or anytime) the cashiers need to be more aware of their behavior. My cashier lifted her mask, wiped her nose with her glove on and then proceeded to process my gift card. I’ve never been more mortified.

This location has the most friendly and helpful associates of any home improvement store that I have ever been in. Dutch and Nick are on point.

I have been shopping at this particular Portmsouth store since I moved to Portsmouth in 2005. Throughout these years, I have been astounded by the quality of the employees, the Greeters, garden shop...ALL are eager to make my experience memorable.

The Customer Service at this store is very helpful and strive to make customers happy. I have had 3 encounters with Douglas and he was able to accommodate my requests and go above and beyond to do so.

Do not bother going to the Appliance Department they will not help you or try to assist you in purchasing any item.

I FOUND IT VERY EASY TO FIND WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR AS THE AISLES ARE WELL LABELED AND THE EMPLOYEES HERE ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND POLITE. THE STORE WAS CLEAN AND WELL ORGANISED.

Experienced verbal harassment, threatening, hate speech, racial profiling and unwilling welcome form the cashier Lisa. That women (Lisa) was asking our immigration status. I dont know if Home Depot was requested their employees to verify the immigration status of customers if they are black. I forgot to bring my Home Depot credit card, I left the store for bring my Driver License for ID verification, by the time cashier Lisa was threatening my wife with the immigration status and hate speech.

The store was very neat and clean and the clerk (Tina) was very pleasant on 6/20/20 was very curious and pleasant and very helpful.

They deserve zero stars but it wouldn't allow me to leave it blank.This company/store has honored the military discount for years, however now they will not allow my husband who served for 12 years to use his government issued forms of ID to receive this discount. They said its a old policy that they are trying to enforce. This is not the way to show your respect for those who served this great country.

Store is nicely located closer to highways. They maintain it neat. This is the good part. The bad part is, in this Covid situation, they don't provide personal protection items (sanitizer,wipes) at the entry or exit. Certainly, a mega storelike HD should be able to afford it when a much smaller stores are ensuring these are available all the time. Finally, local management is ignorant to acknowledge this and finally rude to have a conversation about it

Mike in plumbing was great. Helpful and instructed me on how to replace a in-line vent in a drain pipe. I’m a single woman and he made it a successful repair.

Long time shopper and always comforting to see the same faces over the years; I know they're stockholders, and that means they have a vested interest in the customer experience. I've always been impressed with that kind of forward thinking vis a vis the big box retail experience. Kudos!
